Summer/winter services
A road/rail Unimog can serve as an equipment carrier for seasonal maintenance. Summer applications include sweeping, cleaning and mowing; winter applications include snow clearing and spreading. Each task requires suitable attachments and a matching vehicle configuration.
Depending on the version, equipment interfaces include hydraulics and power take-off, while drive options include hydrostatic drive and crawler gears. Which interfaces and drive equipment are required depends on the intended implements. The examples below show possible applications, not attachments supplied as standard with every vehicle.

Planning the vehicle configuration
List the summer and winter tasks together with existing or planned attachments. Equipment interfaces, operating routes and changes between tasks are important for selecting a configuration. Identify which equipment should remain on the vehicle and which attachments will be changed seasonally.
