Rescue and emergency vehicle

Public transports and railways use the Unimog as a road/rail rescue or fire fighting vehicle. Rescue vehicles mainly carry hydraulic rerailing equipment, which is used for the rerailing of derailed rail cars. Furthermore, road/railers can be equipped with special fire fighting equipment, a crew compartment or further implements that may be necessary for rescue purpose.
