20.02.2007: Approval of double traction |

Two units of road/rail Unimogs supplied to Metro Lausanne, Switzerland, have been tested and approved in the so-called “double traction”. Attaching together two Unimogs type U400 is a first of its kind in the world and enables Metro Lausanne to move 54 t in a 120 ‰ slope. In the current construction phase, the two units are individually used as work and cleaning engines. Attached together, they can in the future be used in emergencies for towing a broken down passenger train. |

20.02.2007: Ceremonial delivery of the first road/rail Actros to TCDD |

On the occasion of “InnoTrans 2006” in Berlin, Turkish state Railway TCDD accepted delivery of the first unit of 65 road/rail vehicles based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros 1832 with hydrostatic rail drive (see press release). |
